Many thanks to the collector from Belleair, FL who took "Wingman" and "We, The People" home last week!
Wingman has left the building...
I"m so very pleased to learn that my label art for Pirate Jonny"s "Syrena"s Seduction Sweet Jerk Hot Sauce" has won third place at the World Hot Sauce Awards, and the sauce itself took first place in the Carribean Hot Sauce category!
This is my second colaboration with the Clearwater based spice company owned by Jon and Terri Toner. (Previous work appeared on their Guava Girl and Sweet Island BBQ sauces.) Pirate Jonny"s creates amazing Carribean spices, sauces and rubs. It"s an honor – and a lot of fun – to work with them and have my art on such quality products.
The latest in my Birds of Paradise series: "Wingman"
You can see "Wingman" at Art Trysts Studio next Friday night at our First Friday open studio event. The studio artists who are in town will be painting and demonstrating, and I will be working on more birds!
Another recently completed piece:
You"ll find this and nine other of my paintings at the Safety Harbor City Hall as part of a two-person exhibit "Bird Brains" with Photographer Linda Stump. The exhibit is up through August.
The latest in my Big Cat series:
"Day Dreamer" is currently on display at Art Trysts Studio, along with two other of the Big Cat series "Interlude (Bengali)" and "Contemplation (Bengali)".
Several other paintings are in the works along with two commissions, so there"s a lot more coming your way! The "On The Easel" page on this website shows some of the projects that are underway.
Be sure to sign up for my mailing list to receive news of special events, upcoming exhibits and see the latest completed paintings.
